the Ski Trip

On the holidays, I went to the ski trip in the Killington for 3 days.
It was the first and last time that I went to the trip of Keio.
I began to ski when I was six years old, but I didn’t go skiing for these 6 years.
So I was looking forward to the trip and also little worried about it.

The students who went to the trip left the Keio at Friday 4:00p.m. so we had to prepare the bags before the day.
The bus drove for five or six hours that was too long time for me….
The teacher showed us the movie which was “Armageddon” and it was so nice movie!
In the movie, the father and his daughter’s boyfriend (and their friends) went to the space to save the Earth from meteors.
However some of their friends were dead by the accidents and one of them had to leave the space to break the meteor with him.
The boyfriend was chosen the role but the father decided to leave there in place of the boyfriend for his daughter and her boyfriend.
The scene of last talking of the father and daughter was so sad….
It was kind of sad movie but it was one of the best movies that I have seen.
I was crying during watching the movie. (I hadn’t done it for a long time.)

After we got the hotel, we had some pizzas and watched the horror movie that it called “the Prom night”.
The pizzas were good but the movie wasn’t so scared.
We went to the bed early because we had to wake up early for skiing.

The next day, Miho, Hanako, Miss. Mikami and I skied the green course which was the easy course for beginners in the morning.

In the afternoon, I was skiing with Miho, Emily, Yurie, Risa, Kuniko, Azusa and Mr. Kudoin the blue course which was the middle level.
Yurie and Emily wore the costumes of “Pikachu” so they were very popular for other skiers and snowboarders, especially for kids.
Moreover Emily is the snowboarder so she looked like “the surfing Pikachu” when she was skating.

At the night, My roommates ( Risa, Hanako and Miho) and I had the Oden.
We also got the Yakisoba and Okonomiyaki that made by other 12th grade girls.
They were so nice and we watched other horror movie that named “the Shutter” with Miss. Mikami.
It was too scared for me so I couldn’t move until end of the movie.

I thought I couldn’t sleep at that time but I went to bed earlier than my roommates.

the Sports Clubs in the Spring

Tomorrow, we have Yuiko’s birthday!!
She will be 18 years old and we plan to go to her room tonight.

Last Monday, Misumi and I walked around the Target and the West Chester Mole to find the Headphone for Yuiko’s present.
We wanted the headphone of the Audio-technica because their products are colorful and cute.
We went to five or six shops but couldn’t find it and we just ordered the birthday cake at the Whole Foods.
At the night, we ordered another headphone in the Amazon which is the one of famous internet shopping.

It will be able to come here today, so I’m looking forward to get it!

In the spring, I will play lacrosse but the lacrosse team has a big problem now.
We don’t have enough members to play….
Other sports for girls in the spring are the softball and badminton.
However badminton club doesn’t have games so they don’t need so many people. Softball club also don’t have enough people, because many girls became managers of boys’ sports club….

Yu and Miho who are the captains of the team and I went to all girls’ rooms in the dorm to rush into the team for three times.
But we got only one player and some managers.
If we can’t get enough people until March 9th, the lacrosse team will die….
We want to play lacrosse!!

I hope someone join our team soon….

By the way, I found some nice singers in Japan yesterday.
One of them is “Cherry Blossom” that has two women for vocal and three men for band in the group.
My favorite songs of the group are “Cycle” and “Dive into World”.
Their songs are kind of Japanese rock music and the music is energetic, rhythmic and cute.

The other one is “AZU” who is a woman and she sings Japanese Pop music.
(I think her songs are kind of the ballade.)
My favorite song of hers is “Zikan yo Tomare” (Please the time stop).
She was featuring with SEAMO who is a rapper in the song.
The lyric of her song is nice. Why don’t you listen to their songs?

I have the ski trip in these holidays.
It is the first and last time that I go to the trip of the Keio.
I began to ski when I was 6 years old but I didn’t go skiing since 12 years old.
So I am worry a little about the skiing but also I’m looking forward to it.
In the trip, Miho, Hanako, Risa and I stay in the same room.
We are going to plan that make Oden, Soba, Udon, Gyouza and Siratama for the dinner.
I want to go the trip as soon as possible!!

Keio has the Shouhusai in the April.
It is the last one for me and all 12th grade students.
Our class will do hand massage with body cream.
But the idea is disagreed by the school so I don’t know what the class change to do for the event.I hope everyone have nice Shouhusai and make a lot of memories….

Manhattan

Last Sunday, Yuiko and I went to Manhattan to buy the captain’s presents of the girls’ soccer team.

But I got up late so we left the dorm about an hour later.
At the first, we walked on the fifth avenue because we want to buy the presents at the Juicy Couture that is one of the most popular brands for girls.
It is on the sale at the juicy and there were a lot of people for it.
We spent for an hour and half to buy the presents and clothes for ourselves.
Yuiko bought a black dress for the valentine party, two earrings for her younger sister and a T-shirt for herself.
I bought a black coat that I had wanted for three or four months and a bracelet which was only $17 by the sale.

Of course, we also bought the presents for the three captains.
We bought pierced earrings which are shape of ribbon and the bracelets which are also ribbon.
Our maximum budget for one captain was $70 but we only paid about $60.
(In the usual, the earrings of the Juicy Couture are about $50 and the bracelet, too.)
We stayed there for a long time however we bought a lot so the people in the shop were nice to us.

After the Juicy, we went to the Chelsea market to buy Fat Witch brawny which is the famous chocolate cake shop for my friends.
And then, we went to the Conner Bistro for the lunch.
We had the bistro burgers and French fries. It was so nice, I want to go there again!

One of my hobbies is running.
When I was 9 years old, I became the runner of the relay race for the field day at the first time.
I wasn’t bad at running but also wasn’t good at it until that time, so I was so happy about it.
When I was a junior high school student, I was in the athletic club and run 100 meters for two years.
But the club worked for only the season so I didn’t run so much.
Now, I play soccer and lacrosse here.
I sometimes miss the ball however I enjoy playing the sports and running.I might be better at running than old time but I want to run more fast!!

There are only 4 months left until I will graduate….
I can’t believe I left here soon.
When I was in 10th grade, I thought 12th grade students are reliable.
But now, I felt I’m not dependable like that I felt in two years ago….
However I hope that I leave something for juniors and be good senior for them.
I’ m little sad about leaving Keio and also looking forward to go back to Japan.
I want to do a lot of things until graduate for example, going up to the top of the dorm.
(But it is illegal of the rule of the dorm so I can do it never.)

Year Book

Today, I’m sooo sleepy because of the senior pages….
I worked for it until 4:00a.m. but it doesn’t finish yet, so I have to do it today, too.

By the way, I believed that it’ll be snow day or delay today so I was very shocked when I looked the outside of the window in this morning.

I have the 12th grade’s party on this weekend and also have the valentine party next week.
I’m looking forward the BBQ in the 12th grade’s party!!

I’m going to go to Manhattan with Yuiko on this weekend to buy the captain’s presents of the girls’ soccer.
We tried to buy it few times, but we couldn’t because Yuiko was busy as the manager for the girls’ basketball team.I hope we can go to Manhattan at the weekend…!

My hobby is reading the books and one of the my favorite writers is Hiro Arikawa.
She wrote many books about the militaries.
But it isn’t hard because it is a kind of the love-comedy.

I think the best book of her books is “Toshokan Senso” and its series.
The series are the most famous in her books and were written about the library and the freedom of writing.

The main character is the woman who is the special member of the military army.
She and her friends fought to protect books from the government.
The reason why the government robs the books is that there are a lot of criticism, so they also prevent to broadcast on the TV.
It is violation of the freedom of writing and freedom of speech, and it also the theme of the stories.
In Keio library, there are many her books (of course including “Toshokan Senso”).
Why don’t you read her books??

In this season, I watch some Japanese video dramas every week.
My favorite movie of this season is “Love shuffle”.
In the story, there are 4 people who live on the same floor in the high-class apartment and their girlfiends or boyfriends.
They have some problems between their lovers so the 8 people try to change their partners every week and it called “Love shuffle”.
It is kind of unmoral story but there is a fresh idea and it is very interesting.
The drama will finish at April.
How about you watch the movie??

Recently, it became wormer than when we came back to Keio from the winter vacation.
There were only ONE snow day and TWO delays in this year.
We had a lot of snow but it was on weekends.
And spring will come faster than last year.
(I think its cause is the global warming….)
I want to more snow days!
I want to more time to sleep!!
I love sleeping so I hate the morning in the winter.

If tomorrow will be snow day, I will sleep until ten o’clock and watch some movies that I want to see for a week!!
Please someone gave us lots of snows for Keio students!!

(And give me more sleeping time!!)

The next blog, I will write about the shopping of Manhattan on the weekend.
I hope there isn’t any happening during it…!!
