Birthday!!

Last Saturday, it was my birthday!

My friends came to my room at 12:00a.m. and said “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!”
But also they were angry with me a little bit because I wasn’t in my room.
At the Friday night, I was in Miho’s room for long time because I forgot that the next day is my birthday, so they had to take out me to my room at that time.


I got a lot of presents, but the happiest present was an iPod!!
I lost my iPod at Friday morning and I couldn’t find it.
I asked my friends but nobody knew where it was.
However the truth was that they found it and lied to me.
I was so depressed about it in all day, so I was REALLY glad when I got the iPod from them!!

They also gave me the birthday cake, and then we had it about 10 minutes.
It was REALLLY great time for me!! Thank you, my friends!!


At Saturday morning, I went to Manhattan with Miho to see the christmas tree at the Rockefeller center and go up the empire state building.

we got Manhattan at 10:30a.m. we went to the Clinton st. baking company and had lunch in the restaurant at 12:30p.m.

It was sooo delicious and I want to try to the blueberry pancake at next time.

After the lunch, we walked around the little Italy, Soho, and East village.
Then we went to the mid town to see the Christmas tree in the Rockefeller center.
The tree was the most beautiful tree that I had seen ever!!
We took some pictures and moved down to go to the Empire State Building.

The stars at the Empire State Building were wonderful but it was too cold to watch the stars for long time.
However we stayed there for a hour and took a lot of pictures.
We walked through the fifth avenue and went to the Korean town to buy our dinner.

The day was one of great birthdays for me and I had a lot of fun time!!

Tree Triming

Last Friday, some students and I went to Mrs. Pochintesta’s house to trim the Christmas tree.

At her house, there were many little girls who are friends of Mrs. Pochintesta’s daughters.
We made some ginger bread houses and cookies, but the house of our group was broken to pieces so we couldn’t finish it.



After the ginger bread house, Miho, Yu and I began trimming the tree.
The ornaments were a lot of colorful balls and long simple lights; however the tree became so nice after the trimming.

We had a time until the dinner, so Hanako and I taught how to make the Origami arts to little girls.
We made many Tsurus and the balloons and displayed them on the table.
They were really cute!!

At the dinner, we had cookies, meet and beans, breads, salad and pastas, and then song the Christmas songs with everyone.
It was REALLY fun time and I want to meet the little girls again!!

Cooking

Last Wednesday, I joined the cooking event that was planned by Mrs. Pochintesta in the cafeteria.

I made some casadiras which were kind of Tacos with Miho, Yu and other 9th grade students.
At the first, we cut some bacons and then, cheese, tometoes, bacons and some other toppings put on the tortillas.
We sandwiched the toppings with another tortilla and toasted them.

And also, we made the side dishes.
we rolled water chestnuts (that looked like chestnuts) with bacons and skewered them with pieces of pineapples, and baked.
At first, I didn't want to eat so much; but the taste was really good!!


It was SO FUN cooking time and the foods were delicious!!
I'm looking forward to the next cooking!
(We were going to make some sweets on next Wednesday!!)

Home Stay!!

During the thanksgiving holidays,I went to a home stay in Connecticut.
I left Keio at Wednesday and came back at Friday.


At the first day, we went to the shopping to find my gloves, because I said mother that I don’t have any gloves when we had lunch at the Cafe.
My host family was 5 people who were father, mother and 3 girls.
The 3 girls’ names are Samantha, Sidney, and Sharron and they are 16, 14 and 12 years old.
The girls and mother love the shopping so we go to the Marshals.
But I forgot my wallet in my room at Keio!!
I was upset and told the mother, however she said “OK, don’t worry. I’ll buy it for you.”
I think my host family was kind and… rich.

After shopping, we went to their house and played the Wii until dinner time with the sisters and their dog who names Shakespeare.
At the dinner, we went to the sushi restaurant.
I tried American sushi at the first time, and it was delicious!!
I had the lobster tempura roll and the avocado roll.


At next day, the sisters and I watched some movies in all day.
I got up at 12:00p.m. and then we had thanksgiving lunch, of course with turkey!!
There were small cabbages with meet, sweet potato pie, vegetable pasta , turkey and so on.
It was sooo delicious!!!

After that, we watched the movies that were the another Cinderella story, the Nim’s island and so on.
During the movies, we had ice-creams with the pumpkin pie.

At 8:00p.m, we went to brought back the movies to the DVD shop and borrowed some Wii games.
We played the games for long time until 11:30p.m.We had FUN time!!


The last day, I got up 10:00a.m.
The sisters and I made omelets and toasted bagels for our breakfast.
And then we began watching a new movie.
We planned that will go to see the famous new movie “Twilight” in the afternoon.
But when we watched the movie, the mother said “the plan was changed so you have to go back to Keio. Sorry.”
So we couldn’t go to watch the “twilight”.
After 20 minutes, I left the house and went back to Keio.


The home stay was sooo FUN and I love my host family!!
I wanted go there again!!!

Chelsea Market

Last Sunday, I went to Manhattan with my roommate, Haruka.

At the first, we went to the Clinton street baking company which is the best pancake restaurant for 7 years.
The restaurant opens at 10:00a.m. so we got there at 10:15a.m.
But when we got there, there were full of people in the restaurant and we had to wait for an hour.
So we went to Soho to find the UGG boots however most of the shops were still closed because it was too early for shopping.

After an hour, we went back to the Clinton and had blanched.
We ordered the banana-walnuts pancake and the smoke salmon benedicts.
It was so delicious!!
I thought it was not problem that waited an hour for the food.
I wanted to go there again!



After the Clinton, we went to Soho again to find the boots.
We walked around Soho for two hours and finally we found the UGG boots shop.
We bought the boots that colors were kind of white.


After Soho, we went to the Chelsea market.
At the Chelsea market, we went to the famous milk shop at first (I forgot the name of the shop….)
We bought the yogurts and coffee milk.
And next, we had fruits gelatos. It was little expensive but so good!
I also bought the cookies at the Eleny’s for the thanksgiving home stay.
At the end, we went to the fat witch brownies that was the most famous brownies shop in the U.S.
We bought some brownies and had one of them.
It was so delicious!! I wanted to go there again!

The Chelsea market was so nice place.

Misumi's Birthday!!

Last Saturday, it was Misumi’s birthday!
Her birthday was November 15 and she became 19 years old.

We planned to go to her room at 12:00a.m. with a birthday cake.
At Friday, but I hadn’t bought the present yet, so I went to the target trip that was planned by the dorm with Miho.

There were only two people that mean only Miho and me in the target trip.
The target trip needed at least five people but Mr. Akimoto said “if you want to go to the trip, I will take you.”So we could go to white planes (thank you, Mr. Akimoto!) and bought the birthday presents.

When I chose a present, I was puzzled about the two necklaces.
One of them had a pink ribbon with beads, and the pink was just like Misumi’s color for me.
The other one had two lines which were the cross with the beads and the heart with glass, and the heart was also like the image of Misumi in my mind.I thought about them for 20 minutes, and finally, I chose the heart and the cross one.

At 12:00a.m, Mariko, Miho, Hanako, Kana and I were in the Misumi’s room. (Also Mariko’s room)
We gave her the presents, took many pictures and of course, we had the birthday cake.
The birthday cake was the chocolate cake because she loves the chocolate!
It was nice and fun time!!

Harrison

Last Saturday, I went to the Harrison to have crapes with my roommate, Haruka.

To go to the Harrison, we took the taxi, but it was REALLY bad taxi!
The first problem happened when we left from the Keio.

As soon as we left, an old woman taxi driver went back to the North Dorm but we were just at the front of the MasterCard Company.
So Haruka asked the driver why she went back, however she was just angry and didn’t tell anything about it.
When we came back the dorm, there were three 11th grade girls and they waited the taxi.
They wanted to the Daido which was the Japanese market in the White Planes and it was different from the way to the Harrison.
Of course, they didn’t have any problem because the girls also just called the taxi, but they said sorry for us….

After they took off the taxi at the Daido, we started to go to the Harrison station again.
However, the other problem happened at the time.

After 15 minutes left, the taxi got the station, but the station’s name was Hartsdale!!
We told it to the taxi driver, and then she asked us “Will you go to the NYC?”We couldn’t understand what she wanted to say, but we answered “Yes,” because we were angry with her about the two mistakes, so we lied to her that we planned to go to the Manhattan and rendezvoused with other friends for it.
Then she lied to us “you can take the train to the Harrison here,” however we knew it was the different the train to the Harrison and the Harlem Line.
So we told her it, then she was silent for a while and said “ok,” with angry face.

After 5o minutes, we got the Harrison station.

When we got the station, we argued over how much the cost of the taxi.
We and the driver were angry at each other so we talked for 20 minutes.
She said that she wanted to take $23, but finally, she compromised with us at $16.


After that, now, we got the crepe restaurant!!
I ordered the sidewalk that had butter, sugar and lemon, and Haruka ordered mix-berries crepe.
It was so nice!!
We took out some other crepes and went to back to the Keio.

The taxi was so bad.., but the crepes made us so HAPPY!!

Halloween

Yesterday, Keio had the Halloween!

Most of the 12th grade girls became “Cats” that one of the Broadway musical.
We gathered the room of the dorm at 7:00a.m. and went to have a breakfast together.
It was so fun, but a lot of people in 12th grade were black and white costumes so there were kind of monochromatic people in the pictures.

There were many different characters in other grades.
Especially, the prettiest characters were some 11th grade girls.
They were waitresses, the girl from the Ooze and a girl kind of Alice.

It was fun day!! Except coming back the exam….

Girls' Soccer!!

On October 25, girls’ soccer team had a party for season over!!

It was the next day of the last game.
We had some Chinese foods, Sushi, and the SPECIAL cake from our coach.
The cake decollated like soccer field, and the coach’s, manager’ and senior’ names put on the side of the cake!!
I really loved the cake! The taste of the cake was so sweet, but it was happy time.

After finished the eating, we took a lot of pictures for long time.

Season Over!!

Last Friday, I had last game of the soccer at the Pawling high school!!

In the first half, Pawling got 2 goals but the Keio also got 2 goals.
After the half time, Pawling got a goal first, however we got a goal after 18 minutes later that they scored, too.

But at the end of the game, they scored few times so we lost the game at 3-6….
It was wonderful time for me during the soccer season, I love playing soccer and also love my teammates!

Now, I’m looking forward to the banquet.
We may go to the Manhattan to have a Japanese food!!
I want to take many pictures in the banquet.

Last Home Game!

Last Friday, I went to the Karbi house where is in White Planes with Azusa, Eri, Mikako and Yuiko to have Korean BBQ.

We ordered a Kimuchi Chizimi that was a Korean pancake, Ishiyaki Bibimba which was a Korean rice, Yukke that was raw meat and Karbi!
It was fun time so I want to go there again after the mid-term exam.

After the Karbi house, we went shopping and the Cold Stone which is the famous ice-cream shop.
I had a coffee and chocolate ice-cream (I forgot the name of it ;) and it was delicious!
Next time, I’ll try another flavor that based on cheesecake ice-cream.

Today, my girls’ soccer team has last home game!!

We’ll play with Tuckahoe high school.
Last game, we lost them and the score was 2-3 at away game, so I want to win today!
But I had a cold yesterday and perhaps I can’t play….
However I got better today, so I want to play the game!

My soccer season at Keio will finish at tomorrow’s game, so I want to play good game.



This week, I have a lot of tests and homework.
I hope to come weekend soon...!!

Manhattan!!

Last Friday, we had the athletic day. I’m in K class so I wore a white T-shirt.

I played 3 sports which were soccer, basketball and handball.
My team lost the handball games, but soccer and basketball team won some games.
In the soccer, we played semi-final game but we lost it by “rock-paper-scissors”.
I really wanted to win the game….
The other hand, my basketball team went up to the final game.
We also lost the game, but our team played hard and it was so fun!

Finally, my class (K) got the first, however I heard it from other students, because I had a soccer game of the club and I had to go early.
It was so busy day for me, and also it was really enjoyable day!!

Next day, Miho, Kana, Satsuki, Hanako, Misumi and I went to Manhattan to have good foods because we didn’t have practice of the clubs and school exceptionally.

At the first, we went to Ippudo which is a Japanese restaurant and we ate some nuddles.
I had Akamaru that was a thin noodle with poke soup, it was good!!
After Ippudo, we went to the Yolate.
The Yolate was frozen yogurts and gelatos shop and I ordered 3 scoops gelatos with corn.
The flavors were Yogurt, Mango and Kiwi; I thought the best combination was Yogurt & Mango.
When we walked the street, we found a famous French fries shop which named Pommes Frites.
A lot of people lined in front of the shop, but we didn’t take so much time to get the fries.
We bought a large size and shared them with roasted garlic mayo.
It tasted nice so I want to eat it again!
At the last, we went to the Maxbrenner that is a restaurant from Australia and has many foods with chocolate.
I had waffle with chocolate, ice creams, berries and bananas, and the ice mocha for drink.
It was delicious, but I didn’t feel good after eating all of it because I ate too much….

I ate too much the day, but it was really fun and I want to go these restaurants again!!

Happy birthday Kana!!

Last time, I wrote about the plan of Kana’s birthday, so I’ll tell how it was.

On September 25, my friends and I went to Kana’s room with the birthday cake at 12:00a.m. to plan.
When we came into her room with the birthday song, she was really surprised.
We were satisfied by her reaction but she also surprised us by her words, she said “it is still 11:58p.m. now.“
We were 2 minutes earlier to celebrate her birthday! I was shocked, but Kana smiled and said “Thank you!!”
After that, we gave her the birthday presents and took some pictures.
(My present was a bag and pouch of Bettie Johnson.)
We also had a birthday cake and ate up it only for 8 minutes.
(The cake was 8 inches whole cake!!)
It was really fun time!

At Saturday, I went to Harrison with Miho and Satsuki to have some crapes.
The crape restaurant located in front of the Harrison station.

We ordered some appetizers and three crapes that were the one with berries, chocolate, lemon & sugar with butter.
All of these were delicious and I like the restaurant because it is nice decorations so I want to go there again!!

The Theater Day

Today, I went to the Broadway to watch the “Hairspray”.
It was the second time that I saw it because I watched it last spring.
However the musical was also nice and fun for me.



In the Hairspray, my most favorite character is a girl who is the best friend of Tracy. (Sorry, I forgot her name.)
She can’t dance so well like Tracy, but she is unique and cute person.
(At the end of the story, she changed to a beautiful woman!)
I like Tracy who is the main character, but I like her more than Tracy.
I want to watch the musical again…!!








By the way, tomorrow is the Kana’s birthday☆★
She is my friend and she will be 18 years old!!
My friends and I already got her birthday cake and we plan to go to her room at 12:00a.m. to celebrate her with the birthday cake.I’m going to put some pictures of her birthday next week, so please wait it…!

Happy birthday Kuniko!!

On September 13, the day was Kuniko's birthday★☆
She was my friend and she became 18 years old!!



On her birthday, my friends and I went to her room at 12:00a.m.
When we got her room, she was sleeping so we sang a birthday-song loudly and she got up.


Next day (Today), Kuniko, Miho, Misumi, Hanako and I went to the Cheese Cake Factory to celebrate her birthday, but we kept the plan secret from her.
We ordered a whole strawberry cheesecake and also asked it make a fancy cake for birthday.
Our plan was successed, she was so suprised and we had a lot of fan!
After the Cheese Cake Factory, we went to the Westchester mall for shopping.

By the way, the cake was left so we gave it Mariko and Azusa who also came to the restaurant and sat next to us casually.

Start the blog!!

It is the first time that I began writing a blog.

The blog is a project for my English class, so I am going to write it every week.

The school started last Friday,but I want to come back the summer vacation now.
Because, I'm so busy for homework and I need more sleeping time.

This year, I became a 12th grade student and the rest of my high school life is only a year. I hope I will have a lot of fan in my last Keio life.
